Our Jumpstart program is the quickest way to execute a successful pilot or proof-of-concept for System Center Operations Manager and evaluate key features that provide critical insight into the health and performance of your IT environment. You’ll receive deployment planning, installation services, and training for a fixed price. Experience Operation Manager’s hardware and operating system monitoring capabilities as well as monitoring of distributed applications such as Exchange Server 2010, SharePoint Server 2010, Lync Server 2010, and SQL Server 2008 R2. All delivered with expert guidance and guaranteed results.

When you’re ready, schedule a call with one of our solution architects so we can learn more about your environment. We’ll help you complete our pre-engagement questionnaire and review our installation requirements checklist. Our basic Jumpstart, typically completed in 4 to 5 days, includes deployment of Operations Manager in a lab-based proof of concept or limited-production pilot, training boot camp, and installation documentation. Optional services include multi-site deployment, installation of 3rd-party management packs, and cross-platform monitoring for non-Microsoft operating systems.

Methodology and Deliverables

We use a structured delivery framework to enhance your understanding of Operations Manager’s capabilities and ensure a successful engagement. Deliverables included in this offering are as follows:

  • Pre-engagement Interview and Questionnaire
  • Pre-installation Requirements Checklist to be completed by your staff or with assistance from Software Logic.
  • Operations Manager Deployment includes installation of server roles (management, reporting, and data warehouse), importing and basic tuning of management packs, security configuration, configuration of notification channels and subscriptions, installation documentation, and deployment report.
  • Management Packs configured for the jumpstart include server hardware monitoring (choose between Dell, HP, and IBM), 1 network or storage device, Active Directory, Hyper-V, SQL Server, Exchange, SharePoint, Office Communications Server or Lync Server.
  • Post-Installation Feature Check to verify operation of standard features including proper monitoring of the workloads identified above.
  • Training Boot Camp with exercises covering all standard features conducted on your new Operations Manager installation.
